Christmas Card Photos

We have been together just about a year and are very serious, so it's not like a fling or short relationship. But does the notion of a Christmas card photo seem more like something that should be reserved for a married couple and/or family only? I just don't want it to seem silly or tacky.

It depends on who you're giving it to. It's your christmas card, do whatever you want haha, but one of my aunts made some comment to my cousin's boyfriend (of 3 years) that she was glad he was "still around" (like she was surprised, and this is after she asked if we should have him in the family reunion photo). If you're really worried about it, use your dog or something. It's not like he's the flavor of the week or etc., and as long as you aren't a teenager it's not that bad, but people may think it's a bigger deal than it is. What do you really gain by having a Christmas card with the two of you? What do you really lose by doing it? It's not that big of a deal, and anyone in your family who would freak out about it doesn't deserve a card haha

I'm so tired of the standard Christmas photo. I'd greatly appreciate any ideas you might have. Thank you so much!

Way before Photoshop I photographed my two girls pulling on a rope. I glued their pictures to hard board and made stand up figures of them. Then I placed those figures on top of a package and ran ribbon through their hands to replace the rope. I rephotographed that. They appeared as if they were standing on top of a package tying the ribbon. Today with Photoshop it should be much easier!

I have a cute photo of my son but two other people are in it. I want to have the photo card made for Christmas.

Can the other folks be cropped from the photo? Will the recipients know who the other people are? I think it would be better to have only your family, but if you really like this picture, then go for it.

I am a young widow with no children and have a cat. In the past I would have photos of me and my hubby, but now I don't know what to do for a photo card this year. Putting a picture of just myself on a card doesn't seem right. All the pictures on the card websites are happy scenes of couples and of their children. I thought of getting just cards but I like photo cards. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

how about taking photos of yourself with your cat?
a cat curling up in your lap is always a warm, cute feeling.
in the background, to one side, have a photo of your hubby [or you as a couple] too.

I know Walmart and sears and JC Penny's and the picture people, but tehy do such a half ass job of it all and the people want to get you in an out so the next person can get in and they can all go home. I need something cheep cause all the " profesional" photographers ask 200$ just to walk into their studio and 300$ to take one photo. i know its the price to pay for good quality but is there somewhere in northern cali that gives you quality with a smaller price??
I have been to Walmart they screwed all my photos up and I had my sons pictures taken when he turned one and the lady had the number one backwards all tehy said was sorry. I dont have a camera to take pictures with... unless I get a point and click.

Decorate one part of your home Christmasy and use that as a back drop and ask someone to take pictures for you. Dress up in your holiday clothing and take outdoor pictures. Have friends take your pictures for you. My family and I are having our pictures taken on the beach.
