Christmas Card Photography

I don't want to do all the poses that everyone always does and I don't want it to be anything too cheesy. I love artistic photography but I only have a personal digital camera. What can I do that is memorable and cool for our Christmas card.

Oh, and I will be putting it on a card that I am doing the graphic design for.

re-do the 12 days of christmas your way.

If the 12 things you chose can stack on top of each other, make like a pyramid and put in front of the couple and have them in a pose behind the pyramid

Or, you could have the guy get into a bag, have the girl dress up like Mrs. Claus and have her "dragging" the bag with the guys head sticking out of it

Its for an art project and ive got to make a christmas card so i was thinking photography but of what etc.

If you can wait long enough, go for a walk around one of the well decorated neighborhoods and take photos (with a tripod) of the most beautifully decorated homes.

Or hang up a few colored lights somewhere in the background and make sure they are VERY blurred, with a pretty bauble in the foreground (that one is in focus, of course).

Ok, so my school is having a contest for taking a photo of something that truly means Christmas. (it is a private catholic school, so religious ideas are fine). it is going to be put on the front of christmas cards. it is due november 21 so it is kind of a bummer, no snow, not much christmas things up. so if you have any ideas, please let me know. thanks! =)

When you think of Christmas what do you think of? Do you think of the Christmas tree, candy canes, presents, snow and orniments? Or do you think of newborn Jesus in Mary's arms?

When I think of Christmas, the religious side, I think of baby Jesus, all the animals, and everything from the story of Jesus' birth. When I think of the non-religious side I think of my family, everyone being together, celebrating together, the smiles on my neices and nephews faces as they open the presents and finding they got exactly what they wanted, everyone laughing and sharing stories.

I guess it all depends on how YOU think of Christmas.

I am starting a small company that will include:
*Photography (Mostly outside in natural light - portraits, engagement, maternity, family, children)
*Graphic Design (flyers, invitations, favors, Christmas Cards, business cards, ...)
* Event Planning (Showers - baby and bridal, birthday, engagement parties)

I am very involved in my church and love Jesus with all my heart.

I have been thinking about a company name since July this year. I came up with
J29:Eleven Designs. (Favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11) This reminds people of 9/11. I don't want a company name that reminds people of a ver sad day in American History.

I have an excel spreadsheet that is filled with ideas. Can you help?

I really didn't want to have the name too long but because it encompass so much stuff I should include Photography and Graphic Design. You think?

Hi Cali:
I love Jesus too! You do alot of different things so you don't want a name like Shutter that just points to the photography part of your business. I think you need a broader name. I do alot of things too, all under "design" so I called my business "Plain Jane Design" and underneath that, list "photography, painting, interior design". That way, I can give my card out for any of those interests. I kind of liked the J29:Eleven Designs myself:D

We've dated for about 2 months and I just don't know what I could get her for christmas. I was thinking about one of those Pandigital, Omnitech or HP digital picture frames, becuase she is into photography. But what should I get her?

I was thinking of a gift card of some sort but what kind?
