you need to add a decent graphics card - you are using on motherboard graphics, which just won't do from gaming.
Also, be sure to ID your motherboard to see what graphics slot it has; AGP or PCIeX16. You may also have to upgrade your power supply - you need at least 450W to run an even moderate graphics card , 650W on the higher performance ones.

So I got a memory card for Christmas and I can't use it! It's a one gig micro SD card and an adapter so I can move files from my laptop to it. I put it into my CP, made a playlist, and saved it onto the memory card, throught the adapter. I put the memory card in my phone, and the phone recognizes that there is a card there, but the music doesn't show up when I open the MP3 player function. It's a 1G card, but the free space is astronomical on it. I must have put 700MG on there, but only one meg is used! I don't understand why I can't play it, and the manufacturer's website told me to do what I already tried!
How can I format it now? Is it too late? And how do I do it, because I've looked through all my menus and I don't recall a format memory card option.
did you go to menu in cell phone and into tunes folder? it should show up there.i put music in to mine with a card reader i drag song from my music folder from pc to micro card but i make a folder there and that were i drag it to .i have the same cell as you i dont have problem putting ring tones wallpaper and music.

The only upgrade I can advise to you is
Radeon HD 2400PRO 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as px?Item=N82E16814131082
Even though PCI and GDDR2 are really slow that's the best option I can think of since you don't seem to have an AGP slot (and you can't ask for a new computer).
and Max out your System RAM to 1 GB (2 sticks of 512MB)

PC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
FOR WINDOWS XP
* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 512 MB RAM
* A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* At least 4 GB of hard drive space, with at least 1 GB additional space for creations.
You walking a fine line with the processor and memory, I'm guessing you're using onboard video. I'm not sure if the game will run at all.
http://www.sims3.info/faq.htm
: What Will be the System Requirements?
A: It hasn't been announced yet, but game developers told that system requirements will be close to The Sims 2, as the game engine is completed. Though, it is always adviced to have a better system, higher than the The Sims 2 needs, in order to assure you are meeting possible expansion pack needs.
A quote from the Sims 3 FAQ
"never buy an on-board graphics card, to play the game."
Minimum System Requirements for The Sims 2
If you have a T&L capable video card with at least 32 MB of video RAM then you need at least:
800 MHz processor or better
256 MB RAM if Windows Vista, XP, Windows ME, Windows 98 or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space
If you have a non-T&L capable video card (an Intel Extreme Graphics or a Radeon 7000/VE Series) then you need at least:
2.0 GHz processor or better
256 MB RAM if Windows Vista, XP, Windows ME, Windows 98, or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space
Get the most current driver for your video card. The manufacturers usually have the video drivers on their sites for you to download. Visit the nVidia site, the ATI site or the support site for your computer's manufacturer for the latest drivers for those video cards.

So I installed a few games, all of them started up ok but some of them couldn't even make it to the main menu before it stopped responding but none of them actually played the game with out them stopping responding. I think its a problem with the graphics card but im not sure. I installed all the latest drivers but it didn't fix the problem. Is it a setting that's wrong? can some one tell me how to configure it right?
I did go to nvidia.com and installed the drivers but that didn't work!
Hey there mate!
I had exactly the same problem with my 9600GT.
I started up a few games, e.g. HL2, CS:S, COD4, they all stopped responding and required a manual reboot!
Luckily, my 9600GTs in SLI are working fine, and to get them working again, all I did was install the latest drivers...
I know you said you installed the latest drivers, but just in case, go to nVidia.com and find the latest graphics card drivers for 9-series, remove your previous drivers via Device Manager, reboot and install.
Hopefully it works, sorry if I can't help
Hope this helps

It's bad enough requiring to pay Large Letter Post but as far as I am concerned I think we are paying this when we shouldn't be. I would like your opinions please. I have the Royal Mail Size Guide which was delivered to my home when the new way post is being priced came in to force. Last Christmas prior to posting my cards I checked my cards with this for size and maximum thickness (5mm). It can be a little difficult checking the thickness but I was pretty sure it was within the 5mm boundary. However, I felt bad as many of my family/friends told me they had to collect the card at the sorting office and pay over £1. I have been buying cards over the past few weeks, including from M & S and Woolworth. I only noticed the other day that on most of the packs it advised these cards were of Large Letter. Again I check on my guide and out of the 6 different types of cards only 2 appeared to be large letter. Therefore today when going to the Post Office I took one card in it's envelope from each selection I had and I asked the assistant to check which would go through her plastic slot guide. Exactly as I had worked out 4 of the selection should be classed as normal letter size and only 2 owing to being slightly thicker were Large Letter. I really think it is also appalling that the card manufacturers are willy nilly stating Large Letter on cards that aren't and also that Royal Mail (or whatever they call themselves now) are charging people when they shouldn't. To avoid receivers being charged again it looks like the only thing I can do is show on the envelope that I have had these cards checked out at the Post Office but itsn't it a disgrace that this has to be done?
Lucy - Glad to give the little gift of 2 points as if you are as rude as you write you will not receive many gifts.
Mad Luv - See where you are coming from but I am referring to overcharging
Mad Luv - See where you are coming from but I am referring to at times incorrect charging.
i agree i've noticed that card companies put large letter on the card when it only needs a regular stamp.
i've also noticed that a lot of ppl in the post office dont understand this and automatically buy a large letter stamp because it's a C5 envelope i dont think royal mail have made it clear enough that anything under 5mm and 100grams can be posted with the regular stamp
i also havnt noticed any of the staff telling the ppl in front of me buying the stamp for the card out there office that it only needs a regular stamp
Bargain busters
Avoid giving to charities using high-pressure tactics that insist you make a donation NOW.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the holidays, scambusters also recommends that people keep an eye on credit card bills, the total tally while you're being rung up at the cash register (to avoid the shortchanging scam), and put your sales receipts away somewhere safe rather than leaving them in shopping bags.
Also, while shopping for all those great holiday bargains and deals, don't get swept up and lose sight of reality -- if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Beware of holiday traps.
Consumer Reports' December 2009 issue of ShopSmart offers a few examples of holiday traps:
