You can always use photoimpact 12 free trial version and make them yourself.
They save up to a 600DPI and the res. is sweet since you can make them at what ever res you want.

I plan to send either Christmas or New Year cards out this year, and I would like to do something a bit different. I'd love to read about what you do, or ideas from greeting cards/letters/notes that you have received. Perhaps you have memories of how it was done by your parents or grandparents? I have a gorgeous Happy New Year card that my grandmother received in 1926, and used it as inspiration for my holiday greeting cards a few years ago.

i think that a new years cards would be great. my family were thinking instead if a christmas pictures we would do a new years theme picture instead. something different. my great and grand parents used to make ornaments with the old cards. they were awesome

I've bought heavyweight card stock unruled 4x6 index cards to save on postage, using sea sponges with acrylics and black razor-tip or extra-fine pens for design. The stock can be bought from art supply stores, the acrylics are under a dollar at Walmart, and the pens are around two dollars each, and come in colors.

Can someone please tell me, where I can find a free programme (program), that will guide me through creating my own 'home made' Christmas and New Year Cards?
I have some really good seasonal pictures, that will look great on the front of any card.
I'm an old man (77), so please don't make the instruction too difficult for me to follow.
