Christian Christmas Cards

I am writing Christmas cards to many of my Christian friends and I am wondering what to say. Anyone have any ideas?

Say whatever is in your heart. Christians these days are happy just to hear "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays".

I've tried True Expressions at tecards.com but they appear to have only one card, an angel blowing a trumpet. I'd like more choice!

As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. We are Christian and have looked into what everything means as part of the celebration of Christmas.

1. Jesus was not born on December 25th. The shepherds would not have been out in the fields' at that time of year because it would have been too cold.

2. The tree, the evergreen, & santa all have pagan roots.

So this year we are switching over to the original Jewish holidays and festvals. Not because we want to be Jewish but because the Bible states that we have been grafted into the vine. The Jews being the vine and the gentiles being gratfed in by the blood of Jesus.

I wouldn't be at all offended at all, personally. As a matter of fact; I do agree with you! I am inclined to believe that Yahshua
(Hebrew for Jesus) was born about this time of the year, the month of tishri (I think) he may have been born.

I'll tell you who was born on December 25;
1. Nimrod. (Babylonian sun god)
2. Ra. (Egyptian sun god)
3. Tamuz. (I think the sun god of baal worship)
Do you see what I'm getting at?
A big thanks to the roman catholic church for trying cover up
the paganism by declaring the birthday of Yahweh (LORD in
hebrew, I think) is on December 25th.
Add to the fact that Christmas is too over commercialized. I
mean some stores already have their Christmas stuff out! And Holloween hasn't even gotten here yet! What's wrong with that picture?!!

My daughter is in Afghanistan. I want to send many Christmas cards to the Soldiers so they can have something to send back to their families to wish them a Merry Christmas. However, my brother told me to make sure the cards did not refer to Christ at all. That it was NOT allowed. Huh? o.O Am I wrong to send cards with a Christian message? Will the soldiers be in more trouble because of this? Don't the Soldiers pray in battle? Don't they have Chaplains? Don't we know that Jesus is the reason for the season? Plus, isn't this what we are fighting for? Our freedom and our right to worship? Someone please help with this. It's important. Thank you so much for all answers and if my brother's right, I will abide by the rules and send, *Happy Holiday/Season's Greetings* cards instead :)

Yes, and they even are allowed Christian Bibles. Members may wear a Cross or Rosary.

The biggest restriction is on pork and alcohol.

It is not like the Christmas cards will go through the Afghan mail system...they will go through the US Post Office then the Army Post Office (APO).

If you are a Christian you can send her a Christian, Christmas card....or a secular holiday card...what ever you prefer.

Note: I believe in Christ and loved getting Christmas cards when I was in the Navy. If that is your belief system then you may...the military has not put any rules forbidding them.

Hiya, for cool presents for some of my christian friends I often go onto the Oxfam website and donate money to projects that I feel they have an affinity with. Eg: some of them are teachers so Oxfam have teachers packs. One friend even got a llama last year (money to buy a llama for a village - the logistics and ethics of actually wrapping a live one are unthinkable). Pretty cool. Hope it helps.
