My youth group here at USC was talking about going and witnessing to people about the Lord and getting people saved and to turn their lives over to God. What is the actual name of the cards that you give out and where can you get them. I have heard some look like $50 and $100 bills when folded over/up and on the back is scripture.

Do you think there would be a difference for them between a Trading Card Game and just regular trading cards?

Honestly, it would be way to cheesy. Not only that, it would also put bad associations inside the children's heads. For example, if the stats of one Biblical figure surpasses that of another, the child will think of that figure in History to be greater also. God's people shouldn't be ranked like that. Afterall, God is to judge. Another bad effect would be when the child can't seem to concentrate on sermons because everytime a name pops up he/she is reminded of a time when he/she used/traded that card or whatever (-- all under the assumption that it even "hooks" kids onto it). I think it's a terrible idea.

As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. We are Christian and have looked into what everything means as part of the celebration of Christmas.

1. Jesus was not born on December 25th. The shepherds would not have been out in the fields' at that time of year because it would have been too cold.

2. The tree, the evergreen, & santa all have pagan roots.

So this year we are switching over to the original Jewish holidays and festvals. Not because we want to be Jewish but because the Bible states that we have been grafted into the vine. The Jews being the vine and the gentiles being gratfed in by the blood of Jesus.

I wouldn't be at all offended at all, personally. As a matter of fact; I do agree with you! I am inclined to believe that Yahshua
(Hebrew for Jesus) was born about this time of the year, the month of tishri (I think) he may have been born.

I'll tell you who was born on December 25;
1. Nimrod. (Babylonian sun god)
2. Ra. (Egyptian sun god)
3. Tamuz. (I think the sun god of baal worship)

A big thanks to the roman catholic church for trying cover up
the paganism by declaring the birthday of Yahweh (LORD in
hebrew, I think) is on December 25th.
Add to the fact that Christmas is too over commercialized. I
mean some stores already have their Christmas stuff out! And Holloween hasn't even gotten here yet! What's wrong with that picture?!!

Is it bad to believe in astrology and GODs word? I find them both helpful.

The bible is not a good source to make a determination about these things for it has been written and re-written and translated so many times that it is really not what it is supposed to be.
Many have offered verses that show that astrology is bad, yet as with other things in the bible- there are contradictions.

I think that the bible is showing us that astrology is a tool that God gave us to use to guide us. Like a road map.
Are road maps evil?
