I want to send a Xmas card to my husbands RSM and his wife but don't know whether to put their first names or not....what's the etiquette? Please help!
How about:
Greetings Tom and Lisa, (or whatever their names are)
Merry Christmas Tom and Lisa,
Happy Holidays Tom and Lisa,
I would use their first names. It's a Christmas card. It's supposed to be warm and personal.
You're over thinking this a little, sweetie!
I can guarantee they won't be offended by a pretty, warm card that wishes them the best.
Have YOU ever been offended by a Christmas card?
What is the worst that could possibly happen from sending someone a Christmas card? Not much. Really, the worst thing they'd do is snicker and throw it in the trash, and even if they did that, you wouldn't be there to see it, so what difference does it make?
Right?
Try to relax.
I know this time of year has us all going crazy.

please state your opinion on all three if you have the extra time!
my personal thoughts
xmas cards - love them cute and look good on the wall!
Newsletter - i'm a crappy friend i never know what's going on in everyones life I LOVE these things it's a nice thing to read while sipping on some hot coco!
Photocard - always cute but a tad selfish/ annoying! but still sort of cute!
Your thoughts?
None of the above, if they're not going to bother to put a personal message on it. I have relatives who waste a stamp every year on a dumb card that just says, "Merry Christmas!" all generic on it. I absolutely LOATHE those stupid newsletters because it's like, why do I care that little Timmy made first chair violin or Susie got accepted to Brown? If you're just going to print off a form letter to brag about your kids, save a stamp by not sending me one, thanks very much. As for photo gift cards, I think it's rather presumptuous of parents to truly believe that anybody besides them cares about receiving a picture of their kids in holiday finery. I have vowed never to do photo cards when I have children. My absolute least favorite thing of all is a photo card of someone's pet, especially if that pet is wearing a stupid outfit or hat. I love my bulldog more than life itself, but I wouldn't put a photo of him on a card and mail it out to anyone, because then I'd qualify as a bona fide Crazy Dog Lady.
This year I sent out regular Christmas cards, and I put a heartfelt, personalized message on each one. It took me days to get all of them done, but at least it means something.
I want to address my Xmas card envelope by using something on my computer but I don't want lables. I'd rather print directly onto the envelopes. I have a Dell with Windows XP. If anyone could be of assistance.....
go to envelopes. make sure you follow the promts.
My girlfriend recently wrote my parents an Xmas card addressed to Mr. and Mrs. X, but did not include my sister, who although an adult, lives at home.
She has met and spent equal amounts of time with my sister and parents.
My sister was slightly annoyed that she had not been included, but my girlfriend seems to think she was in the right. Her friends agree.
What does everyone think?
Precisely: I would have included the sister as well. There's no reason to exclude anybody from a Christmas card, especially when she's already spent a lot of time with your sister. Even if she had never met your sister but knew she existed, she should have written her on the card, irrespective.
This is for UK users only. I sent a christmas card a few days ago without a postcode and i heard that royal mail just discard these. It that true? Will my card never arrive? Anyone ever worked for royal mail that knows what happens? The rest of the address is def correct!
Royal mail don't discard any mail. I worked there for 5 years. My mum and sister still work for the company.
The staff at local sorting offices are very knowledgeable about there own local area. If it has the right house number, the right street and the right town, by the time the item reachs the local sorting office someone will know where its meant to be going. Your card will get there, probably wont even experience a delay!
Ideally all the sorting office need is a house number and postcode, but the sorting office get millions of items with out postcodes, sometimes without even towns and items still arrive.
I could explain the whole letter sorting process if you wish but its very dull, Letters are when you've seen a fair few thousand!
To all the people who put the royal mail down... Have you had Christmas cards!? Did they arrive intact? did your postman put them thru your letter box?
Think of all the people who have been working 50-60-70 hours this week just to make sure you all get your christmas cards on time. My mother and sister wont finish work till 4pm chritmas eve, and will to be in work midnight boxing day! Its not an easy job. Enjoy your time off!
American Express Xmas Strategy: Multiply Credit Card Rewards
Holiday shoppers this season are projected to use their credit cards much less than last year, but an undeterred American Express is serving up some big rewards for some of its card members starting on Black Friday.
From the Friday after Thanksgiving through “Cyber Monday,” Nov. 30th, American Express is offering to eligible card customers “triple membership rewards points” on every purchase, up to $5,000, made on Amazon.com.
In addition, AmEx is offering a limited promotion for its Platinum Card members to earn six times the membership rewards points, and Gold and Green Card customers five times the points, when they shop at a selection of 25 popular online retailers. They include the online stores of Gap, Macy’s, Old Navy and the card giant’s own portal, bonuspointsmall.com.
Tiger Woods Xmas card this year…. - Netherlands
Real Madrid wants everyone… but if they steal Dszudszak from us, that would be tragic.
Hands off the Hungarian man, he’s too good to leave us, and I’m pretty sure our left winger’s smart enough not to follow the steps of the Dutch players who came in, sat on the bench and left. Madrid’s famous players play on the starting XI, not “not-famous” great players.

@Tomek – the man is a brilliant golfer – the first person to earn $1billion from sport. Good Looking Good Sport – Women obviously love him. Has every reason to be in the media thats why he earns what he earns. The one thing I dont like is that now he tries to ask the media to leave him alone, when its the media that makes him rich and now the gossip media are having a field day taking a swing at him.
