Black And White Christmas Cards

My boss wants me to order Christmas cards which include our photo on the front, our text on the inside, and a second, smaller photo on the inside corner in kind of a black & white lighter, faint sort of appearance. I’m not sure what that would be called or what companies offer such an option. Looking for suggestions of where to start and how to go about it. (If you answer has anything to do with “Google” would you please offers suggested search terms – I can’t think of what words to describe the inside photo in particular. Thank you very much.

This is a perfect job to do at a local print shop. They will do it all for you and you will be happy. If not, www.KODAK.com will do them..

im looking at making xmas cards with my 4 yr old and looking for some sites that just have the black and white outline ones. we want to glitter and glue and all that fun stuff!! can anyone help me out with some simple christmas card links?
i would love ones that are like a black and white template so we can have the fun of adding all the colour and glitter :)

My husband and I are planning an Anniversary Pary for New Year's Eve 2008. We originally eloped, so this 5 year mark will also include a Vow Renewal ceremony. We are expecting the majority of his guests to come from out of town, so we bookedeverything (banquet room, hotel rooms, etc.) at one venue. Because it's a holiday, and one many people plan for in advance, is one year advance too much notice for a Save the Date card? The idea is to include something in our Christmas cards.

Also, the ceremony itself is a surprise. We'd just like to invite our guests to a themed Anniversary Celebration, like "The Black & White Affair," where guests would dress is black and white. How would we word something like that?

They are generally sent at least 4-6 months prior to the event but, if you are planning a destination event, such as an island or another country, it is strongly recommended that you send them 12 months in advance if not longer. For seasonally busy and tourist locales or on or around a holiday it is best to send them 9-12 months in advance. Your guests will then have ample time to make all the necessary arrangements needed to be a part of your special celebration and may even extend it into a vacation of their own.

Here are some guidelines on what your cards should state, your names, date of celebration, city or town and state of where it will take place. Also, because Save the date Cards are a recent trend and many that have not attended a wedding, or other event, recently they may mistake them for the actual invitation, so be sure to include something along the lines of, "Invitation to follow", "Invitation and details to follow", "Invitation will follow" this is usually placed at the bottom of the card.

If you need to keep your guest list to a minimum, make a list of close family and friends whom you want to make sure will be able to attend and mail them a Save the Date Card, you do not need to send Save the Date Cards to everyone you are inviting but, every guest that receives a Save the Date Card must also receive an invitation.

You many want to consider sending them separately from your Christmas cards. That is an extremely busy time of year for the postal system and many cards get lost and because people are so busy, some cards don't get opened. An idea would be to send a "Happy New Year" card this year (an unexpected surprise in their mailbox). "One year from today we will celebrate our 5th anniversary and would love for you to join us" - something along those lines.

Strictest etiquette tells you not to include information about attire on your invitation, but this is more often than not being considered an outdated opinion. Guests appreciate clues about how to dress, and are not as instinctively knowledgeable as they used to be.

Are you looking for guests to simply wear black and white clothing or do you mean a black tie event? If just black and white clothing, simply include a simple statement: "Semi-formal "Black and White" attire requested"

If you are having a formal affair, you can just state "Black Tie" or slightly less formal, but peopel will get the idea it's a fancy party, "Black Tie Optional"

There are many options - Semi-formal, cocktail attire, festive attire, creative black tie, white tie, dressy casual, informal.
