ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - The Swansea woman accused of abandoning her child at the home of a church pastor and stealing his credit card was arrested Thursday morning, and faced a family court judge in Orangeburg later that day.

Police say Misty Millender was arrested in Columbia at 10:15am Thursday in Columbia. She had been spotted in the city earlier this week.

Officials say they received an anonymous tip to her location on North Main Street. They spotted her car and executed a traffic stop. She was taken into custody without incident and charged with illegal conduct toward a child.

Millender had been on the run since Monday afternoon, when she left her 1-year-old son Zachary with the pastor of North Pentecostal Church.
