I'm talking about 150 co-workers here. I usually do paper cards and put them in everyone's boxes, but this year I just don't feel like it. Would it be in poor taste just this one year to send everyone a card via e-mail?

Yes it would. If you don't feel like doing the original, don't do any at all.

no it's not wrong,,how would she know u send everyone else cards..I never send my MIL a card and she never sends me one.

we pick a picture we all like, one on a trip, or doing something we all like to do.....last year we had a picture of my 98 year old mother swimming with dolphins with the family...my mother died this past Fall, and it has been hard for all to pick a picture, since she wont be in it....one of my 17 year old twins suggested we do a card with pictures of her with each of us on it from the past year....is that too sad, or a great idea?

Melissa; my condolences to you and your family. It must feel sad to design this year's card, I believe that however you choose to do the card will be just fine. Your mother may no longer be physically present, but your memories of her can mean that a part of her is still a with you, and always will be. Personally, I like your twin's idea of a collage with photos of each of you with your mother. You could include some text, something like: "Wishing you fond memories of the past year, and bright hopes for the coming year".
