Homemade Birthday Cards

my bff's birthday is coming up and I want to surprise her with the awsomeest card ever! please help!

cut out words from newspapers and magazines that describe her and make a collage out of all of the clippings.

Or you could make her a giant card out of a big piece of posterboard.

Or you could put a picture of you and her on the front of the card and write a meaninful note on the inside of the card.

Hi, my mom is turning 50 and I want to make her a homemade card. I dont have that many things to make a card with. I have colorful paper, glue and scissors. Any ideas. She likes pop up cards and anything original, creative or easy would be really good. thanks, anything will help!

Oh! I made an adorable card last month for my sister (using only a few small things I found around the house).

The front side of the card said "Feliz Cumpleanos!" in this font.. I printed it straight out onto the colored paper, it looked fantastic! (http://www.dafont.com/patterns-and-dots. font )

Then I took other small colored papers and cut small shapes in them and took a piece of twine and made a set of papel picado and strung it on the top. I printed out a picture of my sister and added a little bat (I printed out online) and took a small piece of cloth and put it over her eyes (as a blindfold). Then, I made a small pinata (star shaped, I cut the paper into fringes to make it look like a pinata) and it flapped open to reveal what her gift was (i just put a small picture of it inside).
At the bottom of the card, I taped small candies where the candy would have come out of the pinanta.

On the inside, wrote a little message in spanish (and translated it at the bottom).

It was pretty amazing. Now, sure you don't have to do this, but It just goes to show how creative you can be with colored paper and scissors (plus a few other things I managed to get from around the house).

nowhere that i know of you could eather make it your self and stick the candy on or buy one from the dollarstore for .50 cents and glue the candy on your self be crative helps expand the mlind

how about some cartoon characters - it can be humorous too. have little balloons with text to convey your wishes.

try cuddly bears or any other animal(s) to represent your greeting.

find some nice quotations on friendship & add a few nice ones.

you can just make a picture or collage of a birthday cake with 13 candles & something about him entering the "Teens" . you can decorate the cake & candles using embellishments such as molten wax for candles, cotton-wool for icing on the cake, & so on. have streamers & balloons & a boy blowing out the candles with a bunch of friends & family around.....
substitute the boy & people with animals or cartoons.

choose whichever idea you like or mix together to create a nice card. it'll anyways be unique & exclusive since it's handmade :-))
