No Birthday Cards, no Christmas cards, for her father, no gifts, but always calls when it is near her birthday, or children's birthdays, or near christmas? Never visits, but yet expects her father to drive the distance to visit her. Never discloses much about her life to her father, but wants to know everything about his. It always appears to be a one way street in her direction...tell me what your thoughts are please?
she could be selfish or self-involved. some people are.
she could have little respect for her father, or some other issue with him, so doesn't tell him anything, yet expects him to come though for HER anyway.
it's an issue between the father and daughter, so i'd stay out of it... i was married to someone who had adult kids -- and i minded my own business. it works out better that way.
This is a sentimental video birthday card from a parent to a daughter. Music is Since You Asked from Guitar Works.
i got an error message from windows internet explorer saying her email was invalid and i know thats not true.i have windows vista . how can i send cards without getting that message again?
It's possible you're simply typing it in wrong... A blank space can easily sneak into any address - or it could be something as simple as forgetting the @ sign, or mistyping a word such as Yahoo or Hotmail... ;););)
I would like as many friend and relatives as possible to be able to attend, and I thought save the date cards might help people remember. We don't usually go all out on birthdays, but this is a special one in my opinion and I think I can make them myself to save money. Am I going to far?
Not at all. Especially if its that important to you and you want the family and friends to attend. Sending out the invitations a month ahead will give people time to schedule stuff, shop for gifts and be there. It will really send the message this is important to you and an important milestone in your daughters life.
There were quite a few people at my daughter's 2nd birthday party. Do I have to write out Thank you cards and send them to the people that were there and I thanked already in person, or could I get away with just sending cards to the ones that sent gifts and didn't make it. I don't remember my mom ever sending "Thank you"'s when I was a kid......
I don't think my mom sent cards on my behalf. Once I was old enough I did send my own.
It would be nice to send thank you notes to all those who gave your child a present.
Create a scrap-book. Buy a photo album book, but instead of putting just pictures in it, you can also add the b-day cards. Make it a project with your daughter. Put designs around it, along with the pictures from her b-day. Take pictures while making the book with her as well, to add to her childhood memories.

Birthday cards for my daughter
For Jess's card, I found an image on the net of Troy (her fave character) and printed it onto photo paper, and mounted onto dark pink card. I used some papers from the Wild Rose Studio Polka Dot pack. I added some gems and ribbons from my stash, and the sentiment was a freebie from somewhere, can't remember where though! I inked the edges to tone with the papers. The number stamp was one from a Dovecraft set and was cut into shape with my nesties. I am a married mum of 2 girls and I love cardmaking. I have been making cards for just over a year now and have recently discovered stamping & Promarkers! I have a stash pile that is threatening to take over the kitchen but that doesn't stop...
