my son will be 1 year old in about 5 months yeah its a lil while but i need to start buying stuff lil by lil and saving money...
my aunt made some nice birthday cards with confetti and a pop up princess it looks nice
i was wondering if anyone knew how to make some homemade birthday invitation cards note that i have no printer i wasnt to make everything from scratch i can buy the needed stuff to make them myself!!!
also if you guys have any nice ideas for the first birthday party or themes would be a bonus this is my first son and i have no clue of what i need i want something big since its my first son!!!

I suggest you create your own design at Cropmom.com at http://www.cropmom.com a digital online card making, scrapbooking, collage site. I usually use the 5" by 7" canvas size. You can also add your own text. Manipulate your photos by rotating, cropping, etc. The site has several kit themes that are appropriate for your invitation such as "All About Baby," "Fairy Tales Collection," "On Your Toes, and "Visit From the Stork."
Upload your photo. Make a card layout using it. You can add your own text. There are thousands of designer graphics to choose from to create your card. You can even create a fake magazine cover and put your own photos on it.
Then save it. Go to My CropMom and click on the layout. Then click the "share" link. It'll let you enter the email address of the recipient, and your card will be sent via email for free. Or you can upload to your favorite social networking site for free.
And, if you want, you can purchase the print-quality JPEG file of your layout (it doesn't cost much) and download it to your computer.
From here, you can either print your layout at home. Or - what I usually do - is have my layout printed on a 5" by 7" greeting card by Shutterfly, SeeHere, or Snapfish.

you might want to check out uprinting.com just create your own design either from scratch, or check out the templates. upload it, and let uprinting take care of the printing part. this way, you can spend precious time working on the other party details.
