My grandpa's birthday is today and I can't think of any card ideas, does anyone have any ideas
He's turning 70.
Humor or non-sentimental appreciation would be the two top entries on my short-list. Recommend staying away from the "older than dirt" variety of humor, however.... it is itself, "older than dirt", lol!!
Stay away from cliches - at his age, whatever it may be, he's heard most of them WAAAY to many times!!
Happy B Day

I want to make a birthday card for my grandpa. But I know nothing about how to make it. I DON'T want to make it by computer, as I think hand-made card is more pleasant. Could you please tell me how to make it in detail? thank you! thank you ! thank you!!!
i am real!!!
Use card stock or buy a nice sheet of watercolour paper from the art store and cut down to the size you want.
You can just draw and write on this with a nice ink pen (like a Micron pen you can also get at the craft store) or a nib pen and ink. Colour with watercolours for a nice finish or just used some colored pencils if that's easier for you. First very lightly sketch out your design and words in pencil so you can make sure you've spelled everything correctly and then go over with the pen. Wait a few minutes for the ink to dry then erase the pencil with a soft eraser.
Just decide how big you want the card when it's folded, double that size and cut out the paper using a ruler. It will look nicer and more handmade if instead of cutting with scissors you rip across using the straightedge ruler.
Or you can get creative and do paper cut outs with an exacto knife, or use translucent vellum paper to make a layered look like you might find in some expensive card. If you're bad at drawing maybe try using magazines to make a fun collage on the card.
You can even make a nice custom envelope using patterned paper or magazine photos.

Homemade Birthday Cards
I gave up making and giving birthday cards out for the most part. But I can't deny my grandparents or parents, just so happens that my father's birthday is five days after my maternal grandma's birthday, so I only had to come up with one design. But in a moment of ingeniousness I used thank you cards, and glued the pictures on top to hid the thanks, but that way I didn't have to fold or cut paper, just pictures. I also used a plastic label machine for the words.
