Birthday Cards For Dad

I usually adore making birthday cards, but unfortunately most of the cards I make are for women and all my scrap booking stuff features womens actiities etc not that great for men
Can anyone give me any pointers as to what I can do to make the card creative, dad like and featuring dancing

i'm not sure what exactly men wear for ballroom dancing, otherwise i'd be more specific. but i think you'll get the general idea.

cut the card out in the shape of a man's dancing shirt. have the flaps open in the centre resembling a buttoned up shirt. choose the color & pattern of your Dad's favorite dance costume & make a replica. you can even glue real buttons or frills or bow-tie or whatever accessories he has on that shirt. write your message on the inside.

or make a jacket [add lapels by folding the paper] as above. when the flaps are opened, have a shirt inside. when this is opened, your message will be written there "close or closest to the heart"

i don't know anything about him, we never ever ever talk, but my mom told me i should make a card for him.
i don't want to just put "happy birthday dad!" with some balloons... what else should i put on it?

Try writing something along the lines of: " Dear Dad, I know we might not be very close, but I want you to know that I really appreciate everything you do for me. You are a great dad. Happy Birthday!"
You could decorate it with balloons, sports-themed stuff, put a picture of the two of you, or just draw random lines, squiggles, dots, etc. Make the card colorful and neat. Also, try talking to him more often!

I don't have aby funny poems, but this is the best I could find and I loved it very much.
