Considering the price of cards and stamps, do you think it is appropriate to send Christmas cards over internet? It seems that this old Christmas card custom is quickly fading away and I don't like it. When I was a child we use to get hundreds of them, but not anymore.
I think it's better to send and recieve paper cards. That way people can use them to help decorate their house. Gives that something extra to the festive feel of the house if the cards are displayed. Also whenever they look at the card you sent them, they will remember and think of you. I think it's a lovely thing to do.
A Christmas card with lots of glitter! This could be given to a teenage girl at Christmas or to a young-at-heart adult! It's cute without ...
Both of my grandparents passed away in May and right now I am living in their house, fixing it up. A few people who obviously hadn't heard sent Christmas cards. I didn't want to do this during the holidays, but should I write them letters explaining the situation?
i would definitely respond to these people. send back the cards with a little note explaining what happened.
I take picture of my husband and I each Christmas for our Christmas cards and I'm trying to think of some nice, maybe fun poses. Any ideas or know of any websites I can go to? Thanks!
Why don't you do something humerous and different.
Look at what Angus Mc Bean. He is a famous British Photographer who made his own Christmas Cards every year to amuse and to keep in touch with friends.
I am very fond of Angus McBean's work.

I heard that Walter Reed does not take cards for soldiers. How do I send Christmas cards to injured soldiers or soldiers in Iraq? Please give links to organizations that do this if possible, or addresses to mail it if you can. I have a large group of children who would like to do this as a project. Thanks.
'Any Wounded Soldier' Cards Undeliverable
Walter Reed Army Medical Center officials want to remind those individuals who want to show their appreciation through mail to include packages and letters, addressed to "Any Wounded Soldier" that Walter Reed will not be accepting these packages in support of the decision by then Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Transportation Policy in 2001. This decision was made to ensure the safety and well being of patients and staff at medical centers throughout the Department of Defense.
In addition, the U.S. Postal Service is no longer accepting "Any Service Member" or "Any Wounded Service Member" letters or packages. Mail to "Any Service Member" that is deposited into a collection box will not be delivered. Instead of sending an "Any Wounded Soldier" letter or package to Walter Reed, please consider making a donation to one of the more than 300 nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping our troops and their families listed on the America Supports You website.
Does any one have creative ideas for what to do with all those Christmas cards and letters after the holidays? Seems like such a waste to just trash them. Same thing with the pictures people send. Creative thoughts?
My Mother sends all of ours every year to one of the following, where they are used by pediatric patients and/or special needs children for their projects: St. Jude's Ranch for Children, 100 St. Jude's, Boulder City, NV 89005 or........Ann Marie Romero, Seton Shoal Creek Hospital Children's Unit, 3501 Mills Ave., Austin, TX 78731 or........Judy Horton, Down Home Ranch, 20250 FM619, Elgin, TX 78621.
They prefer to have you send only the fronts of the cards to reduce your postage expense, but you can send them whole if you wish. You might also check with your local hospitals, etc.

Sports fans who live in Pittsburgh know their teams are winners. Susan Navish, executive director of the Multiple Sclerosis Service Society in Green Tree, wants to make sure everyone on their Christmas card lists know, too.
Navish came up with the sentiment for one of the organization's two 2009 greeting cards, which features a photo of the Point on Light Up Night taken by Glenn Riblett and proclaims, "Happy Holidays from the City of Champions."
"It was a great year for Pittsburgh, with both the Steelers and the Penguins," she says. "We thought it was a catchy phrase for people who might want to send the cards to their friends to 'rub it in' -- or to former residents."
